Weight Loss Goal Achieved
Yes it’s true, I finally achieved my weight loss goal to see an 8 as the first digit on the digital scales. Earlier this year I weighed close to 100Kgs and lately I am more like 93Kgs and I have glimpsed 89Kgs after a day at the beach with a lot of fluid loss due to sweat.
In hot weather it is easy to lose a few Kgs due to fluid loss but it is important to keep hydrated by drinking water. But it is fun to see how low you can go
How did I do it ?
Well, I have been eating a grapefruit everyday for breakfast. Not the same one, a new fresh one
My chef wife prepares it (how lucky am I?) where all the peel and tough webbing is removed and I collect it from the freezer compartment of my fridge and add a dollop of sugar-free plain yogurt. So in the summer heat, this breakfast is yummy.
If you are a sugarholic I recommend that you train your taste buds to get off sugar. In my youth I always had a spoon full of sugar in my tea but now I don’t need any added sugar.
Also, I drink a lot of water. This is via a filter attached to my sink tap and I store it in 2L bottles in the fridge.
I drink maybe 2 liters per day.
Lunch is my main meal. This may consist of a large dish of freshly cooked food followed by a fruit dessert such as sliced melon. Then I like to have a mug of filtered coffee with single cream. This is not really a diet drink but more of an indulgence to get another great taste experience.
And in the evening where it is most important to not over-eat, I have been eating soya bean snacks or similar together with my vice of red wine.
And combined with all this, I try and do some daily exercise such as walking, cycling or swimming.
What do you think about this? Any questions?
