Do you think that by watching less TV you might lose weight?" I think too much TV can make a person lethargic. Especially something like 8 hours a day... that can't be good for your health. I also think that people who watch less TV tend to be more active-- unless their TV watching habits have been replaced by the computer, in which case... ;) I do not like TV. I watch C-Span, the Science Channel, or Law and Order when I'm in a place where cable is available. I do not have any cable (including the news and public stations), and I don't believe I'm missing much. I can get the news from my computer, so I'm still aware of what's going on in the world... and I have the convenience of being able to research different perspectives on the subject opposed to the restricted versions coming from stations like Fox. (Sorry, I sidetracked a little bit.) “What are your thoughts on this subject? Do you think that by watching less TV you might lose weight?”

TV has become less interesting to me over the past several years. I don't know if this is due to TV sucking more in recent years, or in just finding more interest in the internet and web design, instead of TV. Although sitting in front of the computer for hours is not necessarily a healthy exercise, it is more difficult to eat and type at the same time, so I guess that is a bonus in the trade-off.
