Trying Out Windows Live Writer

This is a quick test of Windows Live Writer for easy publishing to Blogs from the PC.

What interests me most is the built in image editing features so I will see if I can re-size and embed an image below.

Fish Dinner

Well it produced a cool-looking drop-shadow image by default. But I still have the hassle of resizing the image and uploading it to the web. The original image is very large so I don’t want to upload it directly.

This is a nice fish dish, rather minimal but tasty all the same.

So now it’s time to publish.

If you have seen any of my videos before you will notice that I like to work out up in the hills. The reason for this is that I can walk up the hill and still get a good workout, it can be cooler due to the shade from trees and it has great views.

Summer Drinks

It’s important to keep well hydrated in Summer since we sweat more especially when we exercise.

A good clue as to the state of your hydration is the color of your pee. It should be a light shade of yellow. If it is more orange-looking then you probably need more fluids. I’m finding that I need to [...]

Hill Blasting Challenge

Today I decided to get to the top of the hill as fast as I could. But as I got ready to go out, there was some heavy rain. So in frustration I did some crunches and some deep push ups where I kept my head up and lowered my chest to the floor. This makes [...]

Velocity Weight Loss Diet

I came across the velocity diet which has given me some ideas for further weight loss.

Since damaging my knee, I found it uncomfortable to go for runs, but this diet recommends avoiding running and doing daily fast-paced walks instead. This I can do. The problem with running is that you may lose muscle mass when you [...]

Torn Ligament in Knee

A few weeks ago I joined a badminton club. This is a sport that I really enjoy but it is hard on the legs and arm. Unfortunately I managed to tear a ligament. I didn’t notice until later.

I think I tore it slightly before since I had mild pain in my left knee. But lately it [...]

Diet or Fun

For most of us dieting is no fun since it tends to cut out our pleasures in life such as eating and drinking. Personally I have found it impossible to cut out alcohol from my nutrition since it is so enjoyable to drink. I am not addicted to it since I have gone without for 24 [...]

Home Pull Up Bar

Here is a home pull up bar that I constructed from some floor boards that were hanging around my home and I purchased 2 meters of steel tube and cut it back to a suitable length.

The wood is about an inch thick so it does not flex easily and the bar [...]

Tips for doing more Push-Ups

I’m no fitness expert/coach, but I am working my way through the 100 Push-up challenge. Here is what I found helps:

I noticed that a lot of people entering week 3 from week 2 can’t actually do it. I think the main reason is lack of rest from the test at the end of week 2.

In my [...]

Push Ups Video

Here I am doing the test to see how many push-ups I can do after completing week 2 of the 100 push-up challenge program.

Looking at the video, my friend pointed out that my arms were probably too far apart and my feet are not at 90 degrees, making it harder. So I will try and improve [...]
