Hill Blasting Challenge
Today I decided to get to the top of the hill as fast as I could. But as I got ready to go out, there was some heavy rain. So in frustration I did some crunches and some deep push ups where I kept my head up and lowered my chest to the floor. This makes them hard to do. Which is good!
Shortly after though, the rain stopped and the sky looked brighter so I geared up with my iPhone in a hip-mounted camera case on a belt to track my progress with it’s GPS device.
So I started out by jogging. My left knee felt a bit weak but I persisted and later on I didn’t have a problem with the knee, only problems breathing due to the humidity and maybe a loss of fitness since not running for months.
Well it is very hard trying to run up a steep hill! I ran and walked to allow myself some recovery during the trip. By the time I got to the top of the hill I was really exhausted so walked a bit to recover. Then, coming down jogging felt easy.
Then back on the flat at the base of the hill, it became exhausting again but I managed to push on and jog at a slow pace back home.
So I burned 372 calories in about 31 minutes with this run/walk.
