Eating Less to Lose Weight
I came across an interesting blog post by a guy who is eating less to lose weight. It’s kind of obvious that you should eat less so your body burns your stored fat rather than food for energy but never the less an interesting read.
He talks about a book written for engineers, programmers and managers that describes the technical way to lose weight by simply reducing calorie intake. This inspired him to take more notice of the calories he was consuming and cut out some items such as fries from lunch.
Well the weight seems to be reducing according to his online journal at http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=phord2
He doesn’t seem to be very keen on exercise though which would help increase the calories burnt during the day and even allow more tastey treats. Check out the blog post here.
p.s. 1 pound of fat contains 3,500 calories which makes it hard to burn off. But imagine if 1 pound of fat contained far less calories. Imagine how fat we might all be if that was the case!
