Diet or Fun

For most of us dieting is no fun since it tends to cut out our pleasures in life such as eating and drinking. Personally I have found it impossible to cut out alcohol from my nutrition since it is so enjoyable to drink. I am not addicted to it since I have gone without for 24 hours, but I was bored, kept feeling thirsty, had to visit the loo much more frequently and had great difficulty falling asleep.

So I try not to drink too much and exercise regularly to burn calories that compensate for the alcohol calories that I consume.

I am not one to excessively eat since I don’t like being full up, but I do love delicious food. Restricting the amount of food I eat is easy for me and I enjoy fruit or celery which I can always eat and not consume many calories.

So when choosing between a restrictive diet or fun, the fun factor tends to win in my case.
