The best way to burn calories fast in my opinion for the majority of people is hill walking. You don’t have to go hiking in the hills. Just find any steep hill in your locality and walk up it.
But walk as fast as you can so your heart rate is raised to about 80% of your maximum and you are breathing heavily.
By walking and not running, you can sustain the effort for longer, regulate the intensity and have a low impact on your joints.
You will probably sweat a lot doing this, so wear appropriate training clothing.
To make it harder, you can wear a back pack containing some weight.
Another method to burn calories fast is to do bag work which means punching and kicking a kick bag or punch bag hard like a boxer or martial artist. You should get some instruction in proper technique though first to avoid injuring your wrists and feet.
Circuit training at your local gym is another way to burn calories fast since you will get pushed by the instructor to put more effort into it than you are likely to do on your own. And you will get a balanced workout at the same time.
The calories in food can take a lot of work to burn off, so it’s better to cut back on your calorie consumption rather than having to punish yourself to burn the calories later unless you are aiming to gain muscle. Your body is like an engine that uses food for fuel. So to burn the fuel fast, work the engine hard.
