100 Press Up Challenge
I came across an interesting website that aims to help you achieve the aim of performing 100 consecutive press-ups after 6 weeks of training.
The training involves doing sets of press-ups 3 times a week that get progressively harder. It is aimed at any fitness level as long as your doctor gives you the OK to proceed. Time-wise it should only take 30 minutes per week.
The first thing you do is a test to see how how many press-ups you can do now. If you can hardly do any there are some suggestions on the site of various ways to make it easier, with the easiest being standing up facing a wall.
I seem to be average right now being able to do a maximum of 20 or so. I didn’t take the test since I found the site after doing a quick workout involving press-ups, but I know that my limit is between 20-25. So I am starting with level 3 and at week 1.
You can probably do this program anywhere since it doesn’t require any equipment and takes only 10 minutes (roughly) to complete each session. For example, you could do it as soon as you arrive home from work in your lounge. Play some music to liven things up. Then take a nice bath or shower to feel invigorated.
I will do the first session on Wednesday. But on Friday (weather permitting) I am trekking across a mountain, and on Sunday I have a community sports day and a bowling event to attend. Then I am fishing on Monday. So I will probably be too tired to do the next session for many days. But I am very keen to follow this program.
The most press-ups I ever did in my life in one go is 50, so the thought of being able to do 100 at my age and weight is fascinating. Anyone else interested in going for this challenge?

6 weeks ago I was not able to do even one full pushup. Now I can manage around 5. Watch out, ladies!
Hey, Rachel, can you do some more now?
I prefer the ‘Press-ups in One Minute Challenge’ at http://www.konkura.com/ . Anyone tried that challenge?
